Well I had a cool work experience the last two days. I worked at the Wilderness resort in the Dells. Installing an enclosed innertube conveyor system. It will be used to take the tubes from the bottom of the funnel run to the top, instead of people carrying them up the steps. Well this system is enclosed in the same tubes that the water slides have. I did a lot of work on my back attaching braces splice plates , etc. to the underside of the conveyor. It is pitched at 27 degrees, so holding yourself in place was quite an effort. I found it was easier to slide out the tube & climb back up the catwalk rather than try and pull myself back up. So I got paid to ride a slide. The job also involved some interesting rigging technoques to hold the pieces at just the right pitch & roll. But like all my jobs it came to an end, we set the last piece this morning. My last job was to feed the conveyor belt through the underside, so I rode down the slide one last time.
